|Rescue Me ID: 14-10-08-00763Jeremy (male)|
This is Jeremy. He is a Lab mix neutered male. He is approximately 3 years old, 46 lbs. Current on shots, vet ckd and healthy. His left front leg had to be amputated. Read on to learn why. Here is Jeremy's story. Jeremy was wandering in the mountains with his mother when he was puppy. They both were trapped by an animal trap set by farmer. Lucky for Jeremy, he was rescued and sent to vet. The vet had to amputate Jeremy's front left leg due to the trap. Cats and dogs in Taiwan with such a disability are difficult to get their own loving human families. Not to mention a medium size, larger dog like Jeremy has to stay in a cage at the vet's most of the time, I hope he can have a family of his own here in CA or the Pacific Northwest to love and call his own. He is very good with adults and kids. Jeremy is currently fostered in the animal hospital in Taiwan. The vet is very kind to foster him. His benefactor here in Covina is paying for his foster care at the vet's in Taiwan. We have worked together since 2006 and found homes for a significant # of dogs in Taiwan, both purebred and mixes. Adoption process and donation apply. Jeremy would be flown to LAX or whatever airport is closest to qualified adopter. Go to www.sacred.petfinder.com and copy and paste the pre adopt ap from the homepage into an email to our rescue, complete the questionnaire, the send to us. We will review and get back to you promptly. You do not pay for the airfare, just a modest donation of $150 along with an adoption contract, hmck. |Animal ID: A606564Milo (male)|
Milo is a corgi and schipperke blend 7 year old male. He is 'free' until 10/30 at the Ventura County Animal Shelter. He along with 40 other dogs are avl free due to overcrowding but he needs a kid free home as the only pet. Read on. Call the shelter at 805-388-3245 and give impound #A606564 to ck Milo's status and get his kennel #. Ventura County Animal Services 600 Aviation dr Camarillo Ca 93010 You can visit with him prior to adopting. Since he is neutered he can go home with you the same day. MILO IS FREE TILL OCT 30th because VCAS is 100 over capacity! Milo is a 7 year old Welsh Corgi mix~please read his story! Sadly, as I was leaving the shelter (after taking pictures of dogs), I met Milo's previous owner in the parking lot as she was 'DUMPING' her devoted/loving dog~ I approached her (as a fellow citizen) and asked about his disposition and she replied with a blank smile that he is 'A WONDERFUL DOG but he nipped (NIPPED not bit) my kid because he was yanking on his tail and ears all day (hello~I would nip too after a day of being taunted by kids)! She also said and he is very protective when other dogs rough house him and then try to steal his toys/she also said he is 95% potty trained' MILO was dumped because she wants a dog that will let kids taunt and torture all day. Because this dog does not being picked at/yanked at by young kids and or bullied by other dogs who try to steal his toys, Milo ~would be best in a home with no other dogs and no kids under 8. It was heartbreaking how he was trotting by his owners side into the shelter~looking up at her with his trusting, LOVING and innocent eyes....and had no idea she was about to DUMP HIM and that he would NEVER SEE HER AGAIN. After she 'discarded' him at the shelter, she got in her car with that same blank smile and never looked back....): Could someone please help this voiceless and confused little boy find a forever home? I have visited him everyday from SB and he is such a wonderful, SWEET, optimistic, LOYAL and well trained little gentleman~HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHY HE WAS ABANDONED by the one guardian he has loved his entire life. Milo is very TRUSTING, easy going, quiet, happy and ALL people (kids over 10 please). The volunteers describe him as VERY LOVING, EASY, happy go lucky, well trained in every way~they all say he has a 'beautiful disposition and he is a calm sweetheart'. One of the volunteers actually said that Milo was very tolerant of a dog in his kennel that is an annoying pushy guy who tries to mount all the other dogs~Milo is TOLERANT AND SWEET. Even though he loves other dogs in the shelter~Milo does not want to share his toys with other dogs (according to the previous)~so Milo should be the only dog. Milo will be a loving and devoted companion to a person who wants a calm, easy going guy who just wants to be with his person and live out the rest of his life in peace~in a cozy relaxed home. All Milo wants is a SAFE, COZY and loving home to live out the rest of his life. Dosnt he deserve to be loved by a guardian who will never abandon him again? Please come rescue or adopt him TODAY. I'm a taxpaying citizen who networks dogs on my own time INDEPENDENTLY~ My personal feelings and/or thoughts (my choice of adjectives) are not shared by, endorsed, supported by or of any reflection of the shelter, the shelter staff or of any of the 'official volunteers'. |Rescue Me ID: 14-06-19-00428Wally (male)|
Let me introduce myself. My name is Wally and I just turned 5 years old in May 2014. I am a jack russell and corgi/doxie mix. I have the most beautiful cow like markings and am average to high energy but settle down nicely in a crate and am used to sleeping in a crate at night. I enjoy playing with other dogs so would be a great pal for another dog. I need some basic obedience training and leash work but am bright and am to please. I can jump o would be a great agility dog after training. I weigh about 15 lbs. and am neutered, up to date on shots and micro chipped. I cannot believe I've not been scooped up yet as I am so cute. I would be fine with children 10 years and up. Email my rescuer and apply to adopt. Meet/greet available in the south bay area of LA County. Adoption process and donation of $125 apply. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-03-03-00077Ginger (female)|
Assisting owner in finding a good, qualified, dog and preferably corgi or herding dog savvy home for Ginger. Ginger has made a lot of progress in our home in regards to her fearfulness. She is comfortable and happy to be with us now. She is still very anxious when guests come to the home, and sometimes can try to bite them because of this fear/desire to protect. Working on these needs in her next home would be a great next step for her. She is very good with my own young children...and they love her too.
