please contact owner for questions at 480-272-5487 I have my 2 year old corgi/doxie (Dorgi) mixed for sale today, he is microchipped, he's a real lover/protector. Great with kids. Once he warms up to you he's all licks and kisses from then on, very very loyal dog. I don't walk him with a leash because he's always on my side and listens basically every time I call him, very protective when it comes to the door ringing and stuff like that, he looks at me and I give him the 'it's okay' look and he knows everything's fine. Active, all shots, neutered, clean, a really great dog. Sadly I have to find him a new home due to the fact that I'm doing ... (Read More)cross country volunteer work and need to find him a home ASAP. I would have to rehome him at 120 or offers, You will not be disappointed when you meet him, please contact owner for questions at 480-272-5487 (Less)

Pug Mix    Age: Young Adult

Contact benefactor for Suede. Julia Fairfoot at 3mail jifairfoot@gmail.com or call (310) 801-1636 Her name is Suede, and her owners can't care for her anymore because they're never home, so she spends hours upon hours in a small crate. She doesn't get regular walks or playtime and they fully acknowledge that the situation is not fair to her. Originally, they were planning to turn her into the shelter, but I begged them to keep her for a little while longer with the promise to network her and find her a new home. I fear that the shelter environment would traumatize and break her beautiful little spirit. Suede is a 2 year old ... (Read More)Pug/Terrier/Chihuahua mix, no more than 10-12 lbs, already spayed, and has a lot more going for her besides her contagious smile and undeniable cuteness. She has been potty trained not only to go outside, but also inside on pads. As you can see, she is extremely enthusiastic and playful and adores her little squeaky toys. She's got the fetch and return thing down pat. When play time is over, she's not shy about affection and snuggles. Suede will alert you when a stranger comes to the door, but otherwise, not overly chatty at all. She sounds like the perfect little package, doesn't she? Her owners say that she's good with other dogs, just a little shy at first. She's also timid upon meeting a new person initially, but by the second time I went to go visit her, she was all over me! If you or anyone you know can provide a loving home for this pint-sized angel, please don't hesitate to contact me at jifairfoot@gmail.com or if it's easier to call, my phone number is (310) 801-1636, but please leave a message if I don't answer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kngi04OlTfM&feature=em-upload_owner (Less)

Call Eric at 714-651-8657 My wife, 4 yr old daughter, and 9 yr old Boxer rescued a Corgi Golden Retriever Mix from the Long Beach Animal Shelter 3 months ago. SUPER cute dog! Looks EXACTLY like a golden retriever, but with 6 inch legs/30lbs :-) Happy go lucky personality! He was a stray and is about 1.5 years old. We named him Reggie. We picked him, because he got along great with our 9 year old Boxer and my 4 year old daughter. He has been a GREAT addition to our family and is a really good dog. After the first few weeks of having him, he nipped at a few men (never breaking skin, and seemed to be only towards their ankles when walking ... (Read More)into our house). Right away, we took him to obedience training to get this worked out. Our trainer worked with him, and said that he was definitely abused at one point which makes him nip at defense, verse aggression (and sure the Corgi herding breed doesn't help) that definitely needs to be worked out. The training has been going great! Reggie stopped nipping. However, in July, we took him camping for the first time so was a very unfamiliar situation/environment to him. Because of this, I thought it would help to give him anxiety pill that was prescribed by my Vet. We had him leashed up to our RV and Reggie appeared out of it from the med and just chilling in a trance (Which probably made him feel out of place/control). Our friend walked from behind him while he was in his bed and startled him which made him jump with fear, and he bit her leg. This unfortunate incident did break skin with a minor puncture and very little blood. My wife and I LOVE this dog, but we unfortunately cannot take ANY chances as we are in the middle of remodeling our house and have a lot of workers coming in and out all day, which will continue for a good couple months. We are struggling with taking him to the animal shelter, because he will probably be put down due to this unfortunate situation if we do, and I do not feel he deserves to be euthanized. We strongly feel that with the right person that can give Reggie the appropriate training and love, can be a VERY good dog for someone. He is a good loving dog that was abused and is so unfortunate for him. He is house broken, happy, active, and great with our daughter. He strives for cuddles and attention! He is not a threat in our house and good on walks through my neighborhood. He is good with my daughters friends that range from 2-5 yrs of age as we entertain a lot at our house. We REALLY want to keep him, but just cannot. Offering for $100 dollars as it is important we find a good home for Reggie. Up to date on shots and neutered. (Less)

She is small mixed breed and is about 10 years old. Her owner recently passed away and she needs a good home. My cousin is a friend of the family and heard they were thinking of putting her down. She just got a 'summer' hair cut, but is normally fluffy. Because her owner had been ill for a little while, her fur had gotten a little matted. My cousin says she is very sweet. She is used to other dogs, since was living with pack pal, 'Shorty' (who has found a home). My cousin says she will ... (Read More)have her checked by a vet and drive her to her new home. Please forward to anyone you think might want to adopt a sweet older girl. Per vet visit today and here is the assessment: Her age is 11+ based on the condition of lens in eyes. Eyes are good. Teeth - have some tartar. He gave her current caretaker some toothpaste for her that you just rub on her teeth. Vet thinks she is a Chow mix Weight: 53 lbs. Rt. Foreleg - has 1cm mass - benign - normal for her age Left Thigh - 1 small mass - benign - normal for her age. Heart rate low - may be due to her disposition or breed - nothing to worry about. Osteoarthritis in hips - Vitamins should help to improve - current caretaker bought big bottle plus Fish Oil daily - 500 mg. If she has any pain later he recommends NSAIDS - but she seems fine for now. So, overall good health for that age. Has a little trouble hoping up in car, but that is all I see. Caretaker got a certificate that she has been spayed too. Per her current caretaker, she has a docile and sweet disposition. Likes to go on walks and ride in the car. (Less)

Corgi    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Current owner is in her early 70's but afraid she'll trip over the dog and we have been asked to find a new home for Marly. She is a beautiful dog, a purebred although she's half Pembroke Welsh Corgi and half Cardigan Welsh Corgi, the accidental blending of the two purebreds but all corgi. She is spayed, housebroken, 5 years old, housetrained and weighs 30 lbs. Her behavior with other dogs: Behavior with other animals :When she know the other dog, she likes to play, doesn't matter what size. When she is approached by more aggressive dogs she becomes more aggressive. (That may be because she was attacked by a larger very aggressive ... (Read More)dog.) Aggressive Behavior :She wants to be in charge and be in the lead. Has an alpha personality so other dogs would need to be mellow, now alpha. She is very strong. ))) Personality :Definitely has natural tendency to 'Herd', loves to run. She wants to check out every dog, cat, or child. Behavior with Children :Very good, always wants to check them out and give kisses. She does appear to have collie nose which is treatable. A dog with collie nose needs to avoid being out for any long period in the direct sun during the strongest part of the dog. Early morning or late afternoon are best for walks. Sunscreen needs to be applied whenever the dog is outside to the nose but they usually lick it off. Treatment depends on the vet's diagnosis. Keeping your dog out of the sun during hot weather is the easiest way to avoid exposure. Other common treatments include applying sunscreen on the nose -- not as easy as it sounds, since your dog probably will try to lick or wipe it off. Your vet might prescribe oral antibiotics, or topical steroids for affected areas. Even dietary changes can help the condition, especially supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids or vitamin E. Adoption process including a pre adopt ap, hmck, and contract and adoption fee is required. A meet/greet is avl after a pre adopt ap. (Less)

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ranger is a poodle mixed with something. He doesn't look a whole lot like a cockapoo but has little black spots when he's clipped short. He is a non shedder so great for someone with allergies. He may have been debarked as he has a raspy bark. He weighs about 15 lbs, is neutered, current on his shots and microchipped. He is good with dogs his size or smaller but not good with cats. He has a jaunty trot. He was abused by a man somewhere in his past so is best with an older lady or with an older couple. He would be okay with older teenage girls. He enjoys walks, is good at the groomer's and is crate trained. Adoption process applies ... (Read More)and donation of $60.     Call Ingrid of Pacific Dog Rescue at 310-480-6030 or email her at pajade@yahoo.de. This is Alfie's situation. Ingrid shares: I am truly at a loss here. Alfie's story has been networked over and over again and NOTHING. Then I see pleas of senior Labs from the shelters and they find wonderful homes and foster homes. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??? The rescues who find these dogs these wonderful foster/homes must do something different than what I am doing. WHAT IS IT? I am open to learning. For Alfie! He is not a difficult dog really. All he needs, is a calm, loving women household without cats (he likes other dogs!). PLEASE HELP ME, HELP ALFIE!!! ... (Read More) ) ) ) ) ''Tis Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all' ) Alfred Lord Tennyson ) ) ) After many years of living in a rescue facility, a couple of months ago, Alfie finally found his FOREVER FOSTER HOME, (meaning his foster mom would keep him for the rest of his life but our rescue would be responsible for any medical bills). ) ) Actually, Trish found Alfie, a handsome senior, on Petfinder and it was instant love. On both sides! Alfie had been living in at a rescue facility for a long time. Born to a feral mom, all of his siblings became confident, happy dogs and got adopted, Alfie is the most sensitive and was always a bit shy, so finding him just the right home was very important. ) ) Alfie is not a difficult dog but has broken all records for placement! This home was our fifth attempt!!! The first two homes didn't work out because he was scared of the husbands, so we decided to place him into a women-only household. The third home changed her mind last minute, the fourth home had a cat and Alfie and the cat just didn't like each other. ) ) But all of that was in the past and Alfie was finally home with Trish, enjoying lots of walks every day and lots of snuggles and love at home. ) ) Almost two months after Alfie had moved into his wonderful new life with Trish, disaster struck! Trish, who had not been feeling well, called our rescue to say she had to go into hospital and asked if we could take Alfie back until she got back on her feet. Of course, we did. ) ) Even while she was feeling so bad in hospital, Trish was more concerned about missing Alfie than her own condition! ) ) I spoke with Trish from time to time, but then got an e-mail from her friend, that she was in INTENSIVE CARE!! I rushed to the hospital, but Trish was not responsive. She was on a breathing tube and sedated. ) ) I asked hospital staff if we could bring Alfie to see her, but sadly we couldn't, so we made a video of Alfie to take to her. I played it for her, but don't know if she could hear it, as she was still unconscious. I got the impression from hospital staff, even then, that she would recover. ) ) Sadly, Trish passed away on Friday, March 28th, at only 53 years old. ) ) Trish and I had become friends through Alfie's adoption. She was a very warm, loving, special person and she gave Alfie the home he had waited so patiently for and in return, he gave her unconditional love, something she said she had always longed for. ) ) Alfie and I will never forget Trish. ) ) Now, Alfie, confused and heartbroken, needs someone else to care for him. Someone who will give him the love and attention he craves and in return, he will give the best he has to give -- devotion, loyalty and the companionship of a loving dog! ) ) Please help Alfie find his new foster or adoptive home, in memory of Trish -- who loved him very much. ) ) PLEASE NETWORK ALFIE TO FIND HIM ANOTHER FOSTER / ADOPTIVE HOME! (ALFIE gets along with other dogs, but no cats, please and he should be in a WOMEN HOUSEHOLD only). ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aqBkag1IE4 ) ) ) Thank you, ) ) Ingrid ) pajade@yahoo.de (not .com) ) 310-480-6030 (Less)
